The Fulton Literacy Council was founded in 2008. Most of our members consisted of teachers and school-based ELA literacy coaches in the Fulton County School System located in the metropolitan area of Atlanta, GA. Membership is open to parents, educators, and other members of the community. Our affiliations include the International Literacy Association and the Georgia Literacy Association.
We believe in serving the community, therefore we partner with schools to provide community service events, informal workshops, and resources for parents. Our hope is that these partnerships will enhance community and school relations as well as provide professional expertise.
